Aluminum Alloy Antique-Style Hotel Facade Project

In the renovation project for the façade of a hotel in Xi’an, aluminum–magnesium–manganese alloy antique-style tiles and aluminum-alloy eave purlins—both part of a wood-replacement, antique-style component system manufactured by Xi’an Penghang—were selected. The entire antique-style façade renovation has now been completed. This combination of aluminum–magnesium–manganese alloy antique tiles and aluminum-alloy eave purlins not only perfectly replicates the rustic charm of traditional timber-framed architecture but also represents a significant material innovation. Compared with conventional wood, aluminum-alloy components offer outstanding advantages such as superior corrosion resistance, weathering durability, and extended service life, making them particularly well-suited to Xi’an’s distinct four-season climate and effectively mitigating common issues associated with wooden elements, such as cracking and insect infestation. Moreover, the lightweight nature of aluminum alloys and their ease of installation substantially shorten the construction schedule and minimize disruptions to the hotel’s normal operations during on-site work.
